The EdgeBX® Factory Monitoring System can be fully configured for most, if not all industrial, production and factory settings. The following case study outlines the process for a sound level and temperature installation.
EdgeBX® units were installed in a manufacturing setting to measure the sound levels (dbA) of the factory and send the data automatically to a central database. Thermometers were also installed to measure the temperature of each area. The data gathered is then set to periodically report on average sound and temperature levels.
The information obtained through the system will allow the client to monitor and standardise manufacturing to their specific environment, as well as offer insights into environmental changes and their impact on production.
In addition to the periodic average noise/temperature reporting, the EdgeBX® sound level system constantly monitors the noise levels and reports large spikes in noise levels that could indicate critical events such as an accident/explosion, a local siren, or a machine stopping abruptly. The thresholds for reporting are fully configurable and can be setup and adjusted with ease.
The EdgeBX® Factory Monitoring system can also be easily expanded with humidity sensors, Particulate Matter sensors, and volatile organic compounds (VOC) gas sensors to monitor air quality in various settings.
The EdgeBX® units provide local information such as touch screen displays, warning lights and alarms (sirens) as well as sending all sensor information to a central database either within a closed system on the premises or on the cloud.
Any spikes in either sound or temperature can also be automatically sent via Email, TXT, or Messenger/social channels.
